Church on the Rock, Texarkana was founded by Lawrence Kennedy in 1976 and was originally known as New Life Community Church located on Martin Luther King Blvd. In 1985, the church moved to its present location. In August of 1990, Pastors John & LaNell Miller accepted the call to pastor the church. Powerhouse was dedicated to reach the youth of Texarkana in July 1996. In 2007, we started a major renovation of the facilities.
Our Connection
Though COTR Texarkana is locally governed and autonomous, it is a member of Church on the Rock International. COTR International is an association of autonomous local churches around the world dedicated to strengthen the local church and reach the world for Jesus. Pastor John Miller is licensed by COTR International.
